Spiderman Quotes

Thanks prof for reminding me of these quotes-
------
Some quotable quotes - SPIDERMAN

Whatever life holds in store for me, I will never forget these words: "With great power comes great responsibility." This is my gift, my curse. Who am I? I'm Spider-man.
-Peter Parker (Spiderman 1)

We are who we choose to be.
- The Green Goblin (Spiderman 1)

Whatever comes our way, whatever battle we have raging inside us, we always have a choice. My friend Harry taught me that. He chose to be the best of himself.
It's the choices that make us who we are, and we can always choose to do what's right.

Contradictions..

Richard Bach-

In life, there are no contradictions.
If you find a contradiction, check your basic premise.

HARRY POTTER SERIES!!

Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone
Dumbledore: It takes a great deal of courage to stand up to your enemies, but a great deal more to stand up to your friends.

Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself

Only a person who wanted to find the Stone - find it, but not use it - would be able to get it. That is one of my more brilliant ideas. And between you and me, that is saying something.

It is our choices...that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities. J. K. Rowling, Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets, 1999

Fame is a fickle friend Harry. Celebrity is as celebrity does. Remember that.

You sort of start thinking anything's possible if you've got enough nerve.J. K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

The truth. It is a beautiful and terrible thing, and must therefore be treated with great caution J. K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

The consequences of our actions are so complicated, so diverse, that predicting the future is a very difficult business indeed. J. K. Rowling, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban

!!PURSUIT OF HAPPYNESS!!

(voice-over) It was right then that I started thinking about Thomas Jefferson, the Declaration of Independence and the part about our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. And I remember thinking: How did he know to put the pursuit part in there? That maybe happiness is something that we can only pursue. And maybe we can actually never have it, no matter what. How did he know that?

(voice-over) This part of my life... this part right here? This part is called "being happy".

-- Christopher Gardner in the pursuit of Happyness
Religion is for those who are scared of hell.
Spirituality is for those who've been there.

About Fear and Strength

Timo Cruz character says "Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people don't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. Sir I just wanna say thank you...you saved my life." to his coach.

-from movie "Coach Carter"
